Horses have been my lifelong obsession (despite my family’s hopes that I’d eventually grow out of it). For my 9th birthday I was given a navy velvet riding hat, beige jodhpurs and long black rubber boots—along with a few riding lessons. I was hooked from the very first moment.
As the eldest of seven in a busy family in England, regular lessons weren’t always possible, so I spent every spare weekend at the local agistment stables, doing any job I could in exchange for time in the saddle. Those early years shaped my horsemanship and taught me the value of patience, grit and connection.
Alongside my love of horses, I’ve always been driven by science. I completed a degree in Science Education in 2006 and spent 19 years teaching before blending both passions into the work I do today. I am now completing my Diploma in Equine Podiotherapy through the Australian College of Equine Podiotherapy, continually expanding the knowledge I bring to every horse I work with.
Today, I provide professional, evidence-based hoof care across the Swan Valley, the Hills and surrounding areas, supporting horses in rehabilitation, performance and everyday comfort. I’m also a mum to a pony-mad 10-year-old and owner of five very loved ponies who keep me grounded and learning.
My approach is rooted in science and whole-horse understanding—hooves, biomechanics, movement, nutrition and conformation all matter. I’m passionate about educating owners and building a collaborative team around each horse. The best outcomes happen when everyone is working together for the horse’s wellbeing.
