Owner Hoof Education & Workshops
Understanding Your Horse’s Feet
A 4-Week Online Hoof Education Series for Owners
Most hoof-related fear comes from not understanding what you’re seeing.
Is that normal growth?
Is laminitis starting?
Was that trim too much?
Are the bars problematic?
Is the frog unhealthy?
Fear grows in the gap between observation and understanding.
This 4-week online series is designed to close that gap.
This is not a trimming course.
It is a hoof literacy and decision-making program designed to help owners understand what they are looking at, recognise early warning signs, and advocate confidently for their horse.
When owners understand, horses benefit.
What You Will Gain
By the end of this series you will be able to:
• Assess your horse’s feet with more clarity and less anxiety
• Recognise early laminitis indicators and subtle red flags
• Understand normal post-trim sensitivity vs pathology
• Identify common hoof conditions and contributing factors
• Understand how nutrition influences hoof strength and laminar health
• Recognise distortion patterns and loading imbalances
• Know what to look for when assessing or purchasing a horse
• Communicate calmly and confidently with your trimmer and veterinarian
This course is about understanding, not replacing professionals.
